Patrol Skis

PIDA

The shape

Made to last more than one season.

The Pida is intentionally oversized. Thick edges withstand the impacts and rocks of a pisteur’s daily work, while sturdy sidewalls keep the ski intact through years of intensive use. Underfoot, it’s stable and predictable, performing the same way whether you’re carrying a pack, pulling a sled, or traversing an avalanche runout zone. There’s nothing flashy here. It’s a reliable tool that does exactly what you ask of it—every run, every day—long after a regular ski would have given out. Reliability is what this project is all about.

Skiing

For those who keep the mountain running.

It’s a full day’s work on the snow. Reconnaissance runs on hard-packed snow before the slopes open. Avalanche-triggering routes on exposed terrain. Closures, rescue operations, and descents in every condition the resort has to offer—from ice to soft snow, from groomed runs to fresh powder. It handles it all, day after day, with consistent performance. Designed primarily for pros, it’s also perfect for skiers who simply want a sturdy ski built to last. Where other skis seek thrills, this one seeks confidence.

A Note from the Shaper

Built for trust.

We designed the Pida for those who spend more days on the snow than anyone else. The request came from the ski patrollers. It had to be durable, predictable, and able to carry a load without flinching. So we reinforced everything that breaks first, thickened the edges, strengthened the sides, and ensured stable, reliable performance underfoot. We put it through entire seasons of patrol duty, and we kept refining it until it stopped wearing out. A reliable tool, every day.

Construction

HEAVY DUTY LIGHT:
Lightweight and powerful for carving through vast expanses of virgin snow. This construction uses multi-axial fiberglass, enhancing the ski’s rideability and power by providing torsional and flexural stiffness. The goal is also to reduce the final weight of these skis, which is why the wood core incorporates paulownia—for lightness—alongside poplar, for strength. Ultimately, this construction makes the skis lightweight, playful, stable at high speeds, and built to last!

SEMI CAP:
Our SEMI CAP sandwich construction allows for optimal power transfer throughout the ski and provides the skier with all the grip needed on the hardest snow. The skis’ durability is also extended thanks to the ABS edges (increased resistance to cold and impact).

ROCKERS & CAMBER

Tip Rocker “25%”
Tail Rocker “15%”

Moderate camber

SHAPE

MULTI-RADIUS SHAPE:
A ski design method that allows the radii to vary across several independent zones (tip, middle, tail). This enables a very short radius underfoot (for enhanced maneuverability) while maintaining forgiving tips and tails in challenging snow conditions.

FLEX

STIFFNESS:
4/5

TORSIONAL STIFFNESS:
Multiaxial fiberglass provides excellent stiffness and torsional responsiveness
