We shape skis; skis shape us.
Where every pair of skis takes shape.
Against the wall, wooden planks stand upright. All around, sheets of aluminum and rolls of fiber lie directly on the floor. In the center, a machine the size of a block transforms the design into material. The smell of resin precedes everything else. The prototypes are lined up, each one an intuition, a hypothesis, a sensation that we take out onto the snow. This is where every ZAG ski takes shape, within reach of the north faces, before hitting the mountain.
Telescopic or fixed?
In ski-to- Touring, telescoping " Poles " are the standard: their length can be adjusted to suit the ascent—longer on flat terrain, shorter on slopes—and they fold up for carrying on a backpack. Fixed " Poles " are lighter and stiffer, but less practical to use.

What criteria should you use when choosing Poles ?
Weight, because every gram counts on thousands of ascents at Pole. The strength of the locking system. The grip of the handle, especially when your hands get sweaty during the climb. And a washer designed for deep snow. An extended grip on the tube lets you reposition your hand lower without changing the adjustment, especially on steep slopes: this is the case with the ZAG Poles .
What length of Pole should I choose?
Keep your arms at your sides, with your elbows at a 90° angle and your Pole resting on the ground. An adjustable length ranging from 110 to 140 cm accommodates most body types and slopes. You can also check out our size guide, available on each product page.
Which ZAG Poles models are available in sizes 26/27?
There are two models of walking sticks: the ZAG South and the ZAG North Vario (available in blue or yellow).
