STEALTH 3NORM or SEND MIPS?


The STEALTH 3NORM is a helmet designed for Touring , and mountaineering: it features triple certification for skiing, mountaineering, and cycling, and is lightweight and ventilated so it can be worn during ascents. The SEND MIPS is a freeride helmet: it features MIPS technology to protect against oblique impacts and an Insul Tech lining, and is designed for big walls, forests, and couloirs.

What do the EN 1077, EN 12492, and EN 1078 standards mean?

EN 1077 is the standard for ski helmets. EN 12492 is the standard for mountaineering, which adds protection against falling rocks and requires a reinforced chin strap. EN 1078 is the standard for bicycles. The STEALTH 3NORM meets all three standards.

What are the benefits of the MIPS system?

MIPS reduces rotational forces during oblique impacts, providing better brain protection on varied terrain. The SEND is equipped with MIPS in all sizes.

How do I choose the right size for my ZAG helmet?

Measure the head circumference above the eyebrows. The STEALTH 3NORM is available in XS-S (52–56 cm), M (56–58 cm), and L (58–60 cm). The SEND MIPS is available in XS-S (51–54 cm), M (55–58 cm), and L (58–60 cm). Both models feature the Fit3D system for a three-dimensional fit without pressure points.

Should you replace a helmet after an impact?

Yes, you should replace a helmet after a significant impact or a fall, even if the exterior appears undamaged. The internal structure absorbs energy by deforming and loses all ability to provide effective protection in the event of a subsequent impact.
