The Ubac 110 has a wide waist and a double rocker. In deep snow, it rises to the surface and stays there. The width does most of the work—it lifts the ski out of the snow instead of letting it plow through—and every turn becomes a long, gliding drift. A lightweight core makes you forget its width on the ascent; you earn your way up using only the strength of your legs. On an open powder slope, it glides fast and carves out long, sweeping turns. It’s a ski designed for “ Touring ” that skis like a powder ski—because in deep snow, that’s exactly what it is.

This is the kind of skiing you have to earn on those big days—the vast, high-altitude valleys filled with fresh powder after a storm. The long climbs that lead to a wide, open slope, perfect for fast, flowing turns. Cold powder in the woods, where the lift keeps you on top and moving. It has the width that makes deep powder easy and the lightness that makes the climb to it a breeze. For spring runs on firm snow, the slimmer Ubac models are better. When the reward is deep powder and you have to climb for it, this is the one.

We designed the Ubac 110 to put an end to an old debate: float or weight—you have to choose one. We wanted both. So we gave it the width of a true powder ski and a matching double rocker, then built a core light enough to climb without a second thought. We took it on long approaches and skied deep slopes at the summit, fine-tuning it until it lifted early and surfed as easily as it gripped. Great float, reasonable weight.
