What Alpine “ Bindings ” does ZAG offer?
4 Salomon Strive models in the 26/27 catalog. The Strive 10, the Strive 12 GW: DIN 4–12, brakes 90, 100, and 115 mm, 460 g. The Strive 14 MN: DIN 5–14, brakes 90, 100, and 115 mm, 492.5 g. The Strive 16 MN: DIN 7–16, brakes 100 and 115 mm, 562.5 g. All three feature a low stop that lowers the center of gravity.
What is the difference between an insert-style Binding and a hybrid Binding ?
The insert-style Binding , or “pin,” is the lightest system: the boot clips onto two metal pins at the front, and the heel locks into a rear stop when skiing downhill. The hybrid Binding combines a classic alpine heel piece with a walking system: it’s heavier, but provides downhill stability similar to alpine skiing. It’s designed for skiers who want a single setup for both resort and Touring.
How do you choose your DIN range?
It should be appropriate for your weight and skill level. A range of 4–10 covers most Touring ; a range of 3–11 offers more flexibility for both lighter and more experienced skiers. In advanced alpine skiing, Bindings range up to DIN 15 or 16.

The width of the brakes must match the base width of your ski. The FORGE[Tour] is available in 91, 97, and 102 mm; the FORGE[Pro] adds a 108 mm option.
Are my shoes compatible with an " Binding " with inserts?
Only if they are equipped with low-tech inserts, which can be identified by the two metal notches at the front of the shell. Without these inserts, only alpine or hybrid Binding is possible.
