THE ZAG UNIVERSE
ZAG Skis: A Celebration of Togetherness
Who are we?
The Human Side of the Mountain
ZAG is a story of adventurers, starting with that of a visionary shaper who decided to break down the barriers between skiing and snowboarding, between the slopes and off-piste, and between ice and powder.
A relentless pursuit of perfection in the dogged quest to create the most comfortable skis ever imagined. A revolution that is as bewildering to some as it is inspiring to others, launched in 2002 in the heart of the world’s largest ski area, the Haute-Tarentaise.
our vision
ZAG represents the true spirit of the mountains — a place of genuine emotions, personal stories, and everyday heroes. It's a mountain rooted in passion and authenticity, free from pretenses and deeply connected to nature.
By choosing openness over isolation, we turn skiing into a bridge between the mountains and the wider world.
Our story
FROM ITS BEGINNINGS TO THE PRESENT DAY
Building on this initial break with convention—marked by the creation of the BIG and GOLD in 2002 and 2004, which merged the skier and snowboarder into a single entity—ZAG’s mission continued with the SLAP MW in 2008, designed to blur the lines between freestyler and freerider.
In 2012, it was hikers who were introduced to freeriders through the UBAC, the first wide, lightweight ski that marked the dawn of a new movement now in full swing: freerando.
Riding, observing, listening, and connecting with riders of all kinds—this explosive mix keeps us grounded, fuels our drive, and keeps our passion alive.
ZAG is next.
