SLAP

100

The shape

Composed in messy snow.

The Slap 100 features a softer tip and a stiffer waist to absorb bumps at the front while maintaining solid support underfoot. This progressive flex distribution filters out vibrations on rutted or crusty snow, ensuring a smooth ride where other skis struggle with the terrain. Its 100 mm waist width provides ideal float in the morning without compromising grip on hard snow later in the day.

The ski

For the whole day, whatever it may bring.

This ski is designed for true freeride days when snow conditions change by the hour—powder at the start of the day, tracked-out snow by midday, and softened edges of the runs by late afternoon. It adapts to all types of slopes, maintaining excellent float in soft snow and a very stable ride on rutted terrain. It’s the ultimate all-around ski for riding all day without changing pairs.

Shaper's Note

The one you never leave home without.

We designed the Slap 100 to be this season’s flagship ski. Our priority was to achieve a smooth, composed ride on all types of snow. We balanced its flex to absorb rough terrain at the tip while maintaining solid support underfoot. Tested in all freeride conditions, it offers a cushioned, fluid ride without tiring the skier.

Construction

Heavy Duty Light:
Lightweight and powerful for carving through vast expanses of virgin snow. This construction uses multi-axial fiberglass, which enhances the ski’s rideability and power by providing torsional and flexural stiffness. The goal is also to reduce the final weight of these XXL-sized skis—hence the inclusion of paulownia wood in the core for lightness, complementing the poplar wood for strength. Ultimately, this construction makes the skis lightweight, playful, stable at high speeds, and built to last! These characteristics have, over the years, cemented the legend surrounding the famous SLAP skis.

Semi-cap:
Our semi-cap sandwich construction allows for optimal power transfer throughout the ski and provides the skier with all the grip needed on the hardest snow. The skis’ durability is also extended thanks to the ABS sidewalls (increased resistance to cold and impact).

Rockers & Camber

Tip Rocker “25%”
Tail Rocker “20%”

Moderate camber

Shape

5-Point Shape:
A unique shape design that increases the skis’ maneuverability without significantly increasing rocker values (which can cause vibrations). The principle is based on varying the longitudinal position of the widest points on the ski: the closer the widest points are to the center, the tighter the ski will turn and the more playful it will be.

Multi-radius shape:
A ski design method that allows the radii to vary across several independent zones (front, middle, rear). This enables a very short radius underfoot (increased maneuverability) while maintaining forgiving tips in challenging snow conditions.

Flex

Stiffness:
3/5

Torsional stiffness:
Increased torsional stiffness for better grip on hard snow!

Who is the SLAP 100 designed for?

For the all-conditions freerider. For those who want a single pair of freeride skis for the entire season, from the first snow in November to the last run of spring. The forest one day, the slopes the next, and a couloir when conditions are right.

Which size of the SLAP 100 should I choose?

The SLAP 100 is available in lengths of 166, 174, 181, and 187 cm. In freeriding, the trend is to ski on longer boards: your height or 5 to 10 cm longer, for greater float and stability.

What are the dimensions and radius of the SLAP 100?

The SLAP 100 has a 100-mm base width. Dimensions range from 129 × 100 × 115 mm for the 166-cm model to 132 × 100 × 118 mm for the 187-cm model, with a turning radius ranging from 17 to 21 meters. Detailed measurements by size are listed in the table on the product page.

How much does the SLAP 100 weigh?

The SLAP 100 weighs between 1,640 g for the 166 cm model and 1,900 g for the 187 cm model, per ski.

What is the profile of the SLAP 100?

Medium camber, double rocker, medium flex, Adaptive Pivot Control.

Which " Bindings " should I install on the SLAP 100?

The SLAP 100 is designed to be paired with an alpine ski Binding : Salomon Strive 10, Salomon Strive 12 GW, Strive 14 MN, or Strive 16 MN. A hybrid Binding is also possible if you want to occasionally ski on the skins .

Are the " Bindings " mounts included with the SLAP 100?

Yes, assembly is included if you purchase Bindings at the same time as your skis and provide us with the necessary assembly information (boot shell length in mm / skier's weight / skier's skill level / skier's age).

Does the SLAP 100 really float in powder?

With a 100-mm waist width, it strikes a balance: wide enough to float in light powder, narrow enough to stay responsive in mixed snow conditions. For days with 30 cm or more of snow, the SLAP 112 is the perfect choice.

What makes the SLAP 100 responsive?

Its pivot point, which lets you switch from carving to freeriding in the blink of an eye: a carved turn, a slide, a jump, a takeoff. Whether in the forest or on open terrain.

What is the difference between the SLAP 100 and the SLAP 112?

Twelve millimeters at the tip and two distinct purposes. The 100 is the versatile freeride ski, available in lengths from 166 to 187 cm. The 112 is the powder machine, available only in 182 and 188 cm: two long lengths, because it’s built for speed and float.
