mounting line Use the line recommended by ZAG

We recommend using the “recommended” mounting line marked on the skis.
This line was marked during product development by our team of testers. However, for the SLAP range, we offer two additional lines:

  • RECOMMENDED
As noted, this setting is the one recommended by the R&D team and testers. It has been determined that this position is best suited for freeride and all-mountain riding.

  • PROGRESSIVEThis line was designed for anyone whose skiing style leans toward newschool/freestyle. The line is moved forward to improve pivot ability and balance in the air.

  • CENTEREDThis feature is intended only for skiers who are accustomed to and prefer a centered binding setup. This "
" feature corresponds to the center of the ski's contact line.

SKI MAINTENANCE

Maintaining your skis is essential for ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

We recommend that you have your edges and base
professionally serviced on a regular basis.

A visual and tactile inspection will allow you to determine whether the edge is rounded or damaged.

Here are our tips.

Edges
If an edge has a rounded corner or feels uneven to the touch, it needs to be resharpened, as this can significantly impair your skis’ grip and turning ability.

Performing these tasks yourself requires a great deal of experience and can render your skis unusable if done incorrectly. Therefore, we recommend that you consult a qualified professional.

Factory settings

  • Sharpening angle: 88°
  • Camber angles:
    - Between 1.5° and 1.25° at the tip and tail
    - 1° along the rest of the ski.

base Your base what ensures smooth gliding on the snow, so you should check its condition regularly. It should be smooth and waxed.

Waxing helps keep your base and prevents it from drying out.

You can have this step done by a professional, or you can do it yourself at home using the right equipment (a wax iron or an old iron, a scraper, and a brush).

Please note that ski wax can end up in the environment when skiing. For environmental reasons, please avoid using fluorinated wax.

Over time, your base develop scratches and even holes from skiing. These will affect your glide and the durability of
your skis if there is a through-hole.

If you wish to repair your base ,
it is possible to use Ptex threads (the material that makes up the base). By melting them
, you can fill the holes. However, this type of repair
is temporary: there is a risk that the repair will come loose and, consequently, a risk that the hole will reappear.

We therefore recommend that you have your skis serviced by a professional, who will perform a proper repair that will last over the long term, including a base resurface and waxing.

We also recommend that you visit a professional regularly, depending on how often you use your skis, so they can perform a full service and apply a base treatment base improve your glide. This step will ensure your skis remain in good condition.

End of Season and Storage
Once your ski season is over, it’s not enough to simply put your skis away without doing anything else. You need to apply a thin layer of wax—
—without scraping it off. This will protect your edges from rust and prevent your base drying out.

Store your skis in a place protected from moisture and heat.

At the start of the season, visit a professional to have your skis properly prepared for the season (to remove any rust from your edges and ensure a good edge profile and waxing).
