UBAC

110

The shape

Float that feels like surf.

The Ubac 110 is wide underfoot with a double rocker, so in deep snow it climbs to the surface and stays there. The width does most of the work, planing the ski up instead of letting it plow, turning each turn into a loose, surfy slash. A light core hides most of that width on the way up, so you can still earn the line under your own power. Point it down an open powder face and it runs fast and smears big, drawn-out turns. It is the touring ski that skis like a powder ski, because in deep snow, that is what it is.

The ski

For powder the lifts can't reach.

This is the ski for the deep days you have to work for. High alpine bowls filled with untouched snow after a storm. Long climbs that end in a wide, open face begging for fast, surfy turns. Cold smoke in the trees where float keeps you on top and moving. It carries enough width to make bottomless snow feel effortless, and stays light enough that the climb to reach it is still worth doing. For firm spring tours the narrower Ubacs are better. When the reward is deep powder and you will climb for it, this is the one.

Shaper's Note

A powder ski you can carry uphill.

We shaped the Ubac 110 to end an argument. Float or weight, pick one. We wanted both. So we gave it the width of a proper powder ski and a double rocker to match, then built the core light enough to climb without dread. We took it up the long approaches and skied the deep faces at the top, tuning it until it planed early and smeared turns as easily as it held them. Big float, honest weight.

Technical details

Construction

Light Construction:
One goal: to provide skiers with a lightweight, comfortable ski for all snow conditions. This is achieved through a combination of fiberglass and carbon fibers, making the skis in the Freerando line twice as torsionally stiff. The paulownia wood core helps shave off a few extra grams without compromising the ski’s feel on the snow or its long-term durability, as a foam core might. The ABS sidewalls and high-strength steel edges ensure this ski can withstand the bumps and impacts it may encounter throughout the winter. A construction that allows freerando skiers to ski in complete safety!

Semi Cap:
Our SEMI CAP sandwich construction ensures optimal power transfer throughout the ski and provides the skier with all the grip needed on the hardest snow. The skis’ durability is also extended thanks to the ABS sidewalls (increased resistance to cold and impacts).

Rockers & Camber

Tip Rocker “40%”
Tail Rocker “30%”

Low camber

Shape

Shape Multi-Radius:
A ski design method that allows the radius to vary across several independent zones (front, middle, rear). This enables a very short radius underfoot (for increased maneuverability) while maintaining forgiving tips and tails in difficult snow conditions.

Flex

Stiffness:
5/5
Stiff flex for maximum acceleration on powder!

Who is the UBAC 110 designed for?

For skiers who already own a versatile pair of skis and want a second pair specifically for days with fresh snow. It’s the perfect weapon for stormy conditions: acceleration, intense thrills, and absolute fluidity. It’s not an everyday ski.

Which size of UBAC 110 should I choose?

The UBAC 110 is available in 173, 180, and 188 cm, in unisex sizes. For freerando, choose your usual size or go 5 cm larger for more lift and stability at speed.

What are the dimensions and radius of the UBAC 110?

The UBAC 110 has a base width of 110 mm. Dimensions range from 140 × 110 × 126 mm for the 173 cm model to 143 × 110 × 128 mm for the 188 cm model, with a radius ranging from 19 to 21 m. Detailed measurements by size are listed in the table on the product page.

How much does the UBAC 110 weigh?

Low camber, double rocker, stiff flex, medium turn radius.

What are the specifications of the UBAC 110?

Low camber, double rocker, stiff flex, medium turn radius.

Which Bindings should I install on the UBAC 110?

The UBAC 110 is compatible with the FORGE[Pro] (DIN 3-11), which covers the entire UBAC line, including the 110.

Are the “ Bindings ” mounts included with the UBAC 110?

Yes, assembly is included if you purchase Bindings at the same time as your skis and provide us with the necessary assembly information (boot shell length in mm / skier's weight / skier's skill level / skier's age).

What is the difference between the UBAC 102 and the UBAC 110?

Same DNA: low camber, double rocker, stiff flex—pushed to its limit in terms of width. Eight millimeters wider at the waist, and a size range reduced to 173, 180, and 188 cm. The 110 gains in float what it loses in versatility.

Is the UBAC 110 too heavy for the Touring ?

Which skin should I use for the UBAC 110?

A 110 mm ZAG skin, available in Pro or Classic. Two lengths: M for size 173, L for sizes 180 and 188.

Is the UBAC 110 too heavy for the Touring ?

Weighing between 1,640 and 1,740 g per ski, it falls into the freerando category: more stable on the descent, more demanding on the ascent. If your outings are primarily focused on vertical elevation gain, the UBAC 89 or 95 will be a better fit.
