SLAP

112

The shape

Made to plane and surf.

The Slap 112 combines a wide waist with long rockers at the tip and tail. In deep snow, the ski immediately rises to the surface without requiring any particular physical effort. Its geometry makes it easy to drift and allows you to carve wide, gliding turns with total ease. It’s an exclusive model that reaches its full potential in deep, fresh snow.

The ski

For the deepest days of the year.

This is the ski to break out on days with storms and exceptional snowfall. It excels in vast, bottomless powder fields and in dense woods, where its natural float allows you to easily weave through the trees. It transforms the deepest conditions into incredibly smooth runs. As soon as fresh snow hits the slopes, this is the absolute best choice!

Shaper's Note

Chasing the weightless turn.

We developed the Slap 112 to deliver that unique, weightless turning sensation found only in deep snow. We gave it a generous width and extended rockers at the tips so that the ski’s geometry itself ensures floatation. Tested during the heaviest snowfalls in the mountains, we fine-tuned its profile to guarantee immediate lift and smooth drifting without tiring the skier.

Construction

Heavy Duty Light:
Lightweight and powerful for carving through vast expanses of virgin snow. This construction uses multi-axial fiberglass, which enhances the ski’s rideability and power by providing torsional and flexural stiffness. The goal is also to reduce the final weight of these XXL-sized skis—hence the inclusion of paulownia wood in the core for lightness, complementing the poplar wood for strength. Ultimately, this construction makes the skis lightweight, playful, stable at high speeds, and built to last! These characteristics have, over the years, cemented the legend surrounding the famous SLAP skis.

Semi-cap:
Our semi-cap sandwich construction allows for optimal power transfer throughout the ski and provides the skier with all the grip needed on the hardest snow. The skis’ durability is also extended thanks to the ABS sidewalls (increased resistance to cold and impact).

Rockers & Camber

“45%” Tip Rocker
“40%” Tail Rocker

Low camber

Shape

5-Point Shape:
A unique shape design that increases the skis’ maneuverability without significantly increasing rocker values (which can cause vibrations). The principle is based on varying the longitudinal position of the widest points on the ski: the closer the widest points are to the center, the tighter the ski will turn and the more playful it will be.

Multi-radius shape:
A ski design method that allows the radii to vary across several independent zones (front, middle, rear). This enables a very short radius underfoot (increased maneuverability) while maintaining forgiving tips in challenging snow conditions.

Flex

Stiffness:
4/5
A stiff flex with a heel that drifts at will!

Who is the SLAP 112 designed for?

For the powder hunter. The skier who already has an all-around ski in their quiver and wants a dedicated weapon for those days when there’s nowhere else to be. This isn’t an everyday ski.

What size SLAP 112 should I choose?

The SLAP 112 is available in 182 and 188 cm. Just two sizes, both long, because this ski is designed for speed and lift.

What are the dimensions and radius of the SLAP 112?

The SLAP 112 measures 111 mm at 182 cm and 112 mm at 188 cm at the tip. The dimensions range from 139.5 × 111 × 128.5 mm for the 182 cm model to 141 × 112 × 130 mm for the 188 cm model, with turning radii of 20.5 and 22 m, respectively. Detailed specifications by size are listed in the table on the product page.

How much does the SLAP 112 weigh?

The SLAP 112 weighs 1,970 g for the 182 cm length and 2,010 g for the 188 cm length, per ski.

What is the profile of SLAP 112?

Low camber, double rocker, stiff flex, medium turn radius.

Which Bindings should I install on the SLAP 112?

The SLAP 112 is designed for use with high-DIN alpin Binding , with brakes suitable for a 111–112 mm binding.

Are the " Bindings " mounts included with the SLAP 112?

Yes, assembly is included if you purchase Bindings at the same time as your skis and provide us with the necessary assembly information (boot shell length in mm / skier's weight / skier's skill level / skier's age).

What sets the SLAP 112 apart in deep snow?

Exceptional lift. In the forest after a big drop, in vast powder fields, and on slopes where snow accumulates, it reaches comfortable cruising speeds where others struggle to stay afloat. The wide turns are fluid, and the acceleration comes naturally.

Can the SLAP 112 be used on days when there isn't any powder?

When the waist width exceeds 105 mm, a ski becomes less maneuverable in tight terrain and less precise when the snow hardens. That’s the trade-off with the 112: it’s designed for a specific type of skiing and is best paired with a versatile ski in your quiver.

Is the weight of the SLAP 112 a drawback?

No, in resort freeriding, weight isn’t a limiting factor for climbing but rather a factor in stability. A heavier ski has more inertia: it cuts through uneven terrain without veering off course, stays planted in crusted snow, and inspires confidence as speed increases. Plus, the SLAP 112’s weight is very reasonable compared to its competitors in the same category!
